Dr. Laurie Main
President
Headed by physician and president, Laurie, our team is dedicated to improving the quality of cardiovascular care. With Laurie's expertise and passion, we work together to reach our full potential and achieve our goals.
Alyssa Blair
Director
Alyssa is registered though the British Columbia Association of Kinesiology and a member of the Canadian Kinesiology Alliance. She has her own business (Alyssa Blair Kinesiology), a community-based Kinesiologisy service. She has established a focus on rehabilitation (chronic illnesses, surgeries, injuries, etc.) and enjoys working with the aging population. Alyssa developed a strong interest in cardiac rehabilitation while leading a cardiac program of her own for three years. She was born and raised in Salmon Arm and is passionate and committed to providing the community with assessable knowledge and guidance in achieving their fitness, health and rehabilitation goals.

Barry Delaney
Treasurer
Barry Delaney is a visionary leader and the President & CEO of SASCU, a credit union with its head office in Salmon Arm which he served passionately. SASCU has five locations, 150 employees and 20,000 members. Barry and his family moved to Salmon Arm eight years ago and loves the North Okanagan. Barry has a passion for community leadership and is proud to be a founding member of this Board. He is married with seven children and has a lifelong interest in aviation, flying regularly to the lower mainland for work and pleasure.
Maureen Defoe
Director
Maureen is a recently retired CGA, CPA with over forty years of accounting experience in public practice, the public sector, and private industry. She has lived in Salmon Arm since 1977 and has two adult children. She has been an active member in the community with a passion for the outdoors, including cross country skiing, downhill skiing, hiking, running, biking and backpacking. As a director of the Shuswap Cardiac Society, Maureen hopes to promote the enjoyment and benefits of exercise, physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle by assisting in program development and administration, as well as supervising exercise sessions.

The Shuswap Cardiac Society is committed to providing the Shuswap with evidence-based, high quality, cardiac care. We are a team passionate about improving the community through increasing access to cardiac health related services and improving patient experience by increasing patient-oriented care and reducing physician burnout. Through our ongoing projects, we aim to improve quality of life residents of the Shushwap through improving health care in our communities.
